1. Who we are

HaitiByte ("we", "us") provides web hosting, domain registration and related services from Delmas 75, Fragnuaville, #77, Haiti. You can reach us at contact@haitibyte.com or +509 3215-2185. This policy explains what personal information we collect through haitibyte.com and the client dashboard at panel.haitibyte.com, and how we use it.

2. Information we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, phone number and postal address.
• Login security: your password (stored in hashed form by our billing system) and, if you turn on two-factor authentication, the secret used to generate your codes.
• Orders and billing: the services you order, invoices, payments and account credit.
• Support: messages and tickets you send us, including through the contact form and live chat.
• Hosting and domains: information needed to provide your services, such as domain names, hosting account usernames, and the files, databases and email you store with us.
• Connected services: if you connect a GitHub account to deploy a website, we store the access token GitHub gives us so we can fetch your repositories.
• AI tools: text and images you submit to the AI tools in the dashboard.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type and basic server logs, used to run and secure the services.

3. How we use it

We use your information to create and manage your account, provide and renew your services, register domains on your behalf, process payments, answer support requests, protect the security of our services, and send you messages about your account, invoices and service changes.

4. Who we share it with

We share information only as needed to provide the service:

• Domain registries and registrars receive the contact details required to register or transfer a domain.
• Certificate authorities receive the details required to issue an SSL certificate you order.
• Providers of optional services you order (for example security, backup, VPN or site-builder products) receive the details needed to deliver that service.
• NOWPayments processes cryptocurrency payments. We receive the payment status and transaction ID.
• Tawk.to provides the live chat on our websites, and the messages you send in chat pass through their service.
• DeepSeek is the AI provider behind the AI tools. What you submit to those tools is sent to it to generate a response.
• Authorities, where we are required to do so by law.

5. Cookies and local storage

The dashboard uses a session cookie to keep you logged in and to protect forms against forgery. Our live chat provider (Tawk.to) may set its own cookies. The public website sets a cookie only when you use the contact form. We do not use advertising cookies.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account information while you have an account with us, and afterwards for as long as we need it for billing, accounting, legal and security purposes.

7. Security

We use access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and optional two-factor authentication to protect your account. No online service can be completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password and turn on two-factor authentication in your dashboard.

8. Your choices

You can review and update your details in the dashboard under "My Profile". You can also write to contact@haitibyte.com to ask for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. We may need to keep some billing records as required by law or for accounting.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date below shows when it last changed.
